"Education does not change the world. Education changes people. People change the world." - Paulo Freire
My Reflection
My childhood dream was to become a paediatrician after graduating from medical school. But now I am a secondary school teacher and an adult educator. Why? Because I have witnessed how education impacts so many aspects of our lives and I want to make a positive difference in people's lives with education. In addition to this, working with learners of different age groups for more than 6 years, I also enjoy learning from different types of learners!
Now that the COVID pandemic has changed the educational ecosystem, approaching the end of my postgraduate programme, I am equipped with knowledge of remote learning, hybrid learning, and different pedagogical approaches.
As well as including intercultural competencies in education.
Learning is a lifelong process for me, and I look forward to developing new skills through further (self)study, professional events, collaboration, and learning from others in the coming days ahead.
