Digital Ed Tools

Teachers won't be replaced by technology, but teachers who use will replace those who do not.

Tools I use

  • Google Meet

  • Microsoft Teams

  • ZOOM

  • Miro

  • Prezi Video

  • Squiglit

  • Screen Recorder

  • Noteshelf

  • Kahoot!

  • Quizizz

  • ShowMe

  • Notion

Talking about digital education tools, I find it the combination of my passions for education, self-learning and technology. More than that, the pandemic has shown how technology and digital skills are essential also in the field of education. Due to this, as a student as well as a teacher, getting to use different software has been added to my professional growth. If more access to academic software was provided to the Postgraduate students, I hope more could be learned and used in teaching.

However, not to forget, it's not the digital tools that make us a good teachers. They will make teaching and learning efficient.

I ask, I share, I listen, I reflect, I learn.

International Week

What makes one international?

As an avid lifelong learner and a curious person, I love to learn about different subjects. One of the ways, I learn is through my love of listening to podcasts. I listen to podcasts on many different subjects.

Now my idea for starting my own podcast is to learn from other teachers through interviews. For this purpose, a podcast is one of the best platforms, I learned about and launched. In my podcast, 'The Good Global Teacher',
I am looking forward to learning about different and better teaching practices and skills needed to be a good teacher.

During the International Week @ Thomas More Campus, together with my
colleague, Ms Phoebe Demetry, I had an opportunity to present on the

topic, 'Where are you from?"The talk was based on our multicultural background living in super-diverse communities and conflict of identities.

As a candidate for the International Teacher programme, my background as a Nepalese Hong Konger now residing in Belgium has developed me into a valuable individual who can add to the beauty of diversity in the workplace as well as in the community.
